February Update 1 (v0.9c)

A cheerful BARK from the Dog!

This update brings a massive rework to how Fugitives are treated in Don’t Kick the Dog. The rework includes:

  • Removing RNG from JAILBREAK (Now called RIOT), and SORRY, and COP (mostly).
  • Introducing the ‘Critical Cop‘.
  • Bringing Fugitive Health to Players (Previously was only for NPCs), and updating how Fugitive Health works in general.
  • Reworks of [Officer’s Badge], [Gavel], [Lock Pick], [Ninja’s Hood], and [Secret Agent].

Probation

Players that KICK the Dog and have a change of heart can continue to use SORRY to atone for their mistake. However, rather than randomly receiving forgiveness, players are immediately forgiven and placed on Probation.

  • Players on Probation will be totally unable to KICK the Dog for 5 minutes. 
    • Attempting to KICK during this time will reveal your remaining Probation period in game.
  • Using SORRY as a Fugitive or Prisoner immediately places you on Probation.
  • Golden Dog no longer provides blanket forgiveness on completion.

Fugitive Health & COP Changes

Both Player Fugitives and Fugitive NPCs now have ‘Fugitive Health’. When this health reaches zero, the Player/NPC is Imprisoned. 

Of course, this would be an enormous buff if COP did not also change, so COP is no longer RNG dependent. Instead, COP always removes 1 Fugitive Health from a random Fugitive. 

  • Players begin with 10 Fugitive Health on becoming a Fugitive.
  • Fugitive NPC health has changed:
    • NPC: <Fugitive I> now has 4 Health.
    • NPC: <Fugitive II> now has 12 Health.
  • COP decreases a random Fugitive’s health by 1.
  • COP has a small chance to land as a Critical Cop, which immediately reduces Fugitive Health to zero.
  • Fugitive Players cannot critically cop.
  • If a Player/NPC reaches zero Fugitive Health, they are Imprisoned.

Riot!

Jailbreak has been changed to RIOT. Similar to how Players have Fugitive Health, the Jail now has Jail Health. Once that health reaches zero, a Prison Riot occurs and all Prisoners are turned into Fugitives.

  • Jail Health is increased by 10 for every Prisoner added.
  • RIOT is a new command that decreases Jail Health by 1. This command occurs automatically over time, like COP / PET. 

Item Balance

The following items have changed due to the rework:

[Gavel] I, II, III, IV

  • Charges: [5, 10, 20, 30]
  • Passive: Increases Critical Cop chance by [20, 30, 40, 60]%. Critical Cop immediately reduces a Fugitive’s health to 0.

[Lock Pick] I, II, III, IV

  • Charges: [10, 10, 10, 10]
  • Passive: RIOT deals +[1, 2, 3, 5] damage to Jail Health. Costs 1 charge per RIOT.

[Ninja’s Hood] I, II, III, IV

  • Charges: [1, 1, 1, 1]
  • Passive: Upon reaching 0 Health, restores your health to [5, 10, 15, 30] and consumes 1 charge from this item.

[Officer’s Badge] I, II, III, IV

  • Charges: [30, 30, 30, 30]
  • Passive: Cop deals +[1, 2, 3, 4] damage to Fugitives. Costs 1 charge per COP.

[Secret Agent] I, II, III, IV

  • Charges: [10, 20, 30, 60]
  • Passive: Automatically deals 1 damage to any Player or NPC that Kicks the Dog. Costs 1 charge.

Misc Balance

  • Fugitive NPCs have a much lower chance to drop Items.
  • Kicks from Fugitive NPCs no longer drain Kick Immunity.
  • Fugitives that use the COP command will no longer automatically continue to cast the COP command.
  • Players no longer automatically gain Gold over time. 

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where [Corrupted Pledge] was consuming charges for its passive effect.
  • Fixed an issue where the Dog Leaving notification would not play audio or display a chat message.

January Update 3 (v0.9b)

A sing-songy BARK from the Dog!

This update rebalances item drops / chests, and brings a new activity: The Dog Wants Pledges! A few items got updated, one got deprecated (Spoiler: [Repair]), and the UI has been updated to better handle a lot of on screen items.  


 The Dog Wants Pledges

The Dog will occasionally desire Gold in the form of Pledges. Each Pledge costs 1 Gold and grants 1 Friendship.

As a reward for clearing all Pledge stacks, a new chest drops: [Brave Chest]. This chest contains 3 random boost items  ([Digging Frenzy], [Friendship Gem], [Bone Piece] etc).


Donation Goal

The Donation Goal has been changed.

  • Pledging enough Gold to the Dog will grant you 100,000 Bonus Points.
  • This goal can be achieved many times per day, but the Pledge requirement increases by 10 every completion (up to 200 Pledges required)
  • You can view your current Goal with the gold command.

Command Changes

pledge

  • Clears Pledges at the cost of 1 Gold per Pledge. Each stack cleared grants the Dog 1 Friendship.
  • Triggers until you perform another action, run out of Gold, or all Pledges are cleared.

 cancel

  • Stops the current action. Has no effect on item passives.

sell (previously dismantle)

  • Sells the held item for Gold. The amount of Gold received is equal to the items tier.

Activity Balance

  • The number of staring Bonus Pets has been increased to 10 per online player. (Previously 5)
  • Activities start more frequently.

Overall

  • Chests will not spawn if there are 8 or more items available to claim.
  • Dig sites now spawn less frequently.

Items / Item Balance

The way items are presented has been changed:

  • Up to 8 items can be visible at any time. After that, all newly spawned items will appear as ‘Shadows’. 
  • If the maximum number of visible items is exceeded, visible items will begin to expire. 

Item drops have been rebalanced:

  • Friendship Gems are more likely to drop out of Chests.
  • Equipment is less likely to drop out of Chests.
  • The following items have been deprecated and will no longer spawn:

[Corrupted Pledge] I, II, III, IV

Previously [Demonic Pledge]. Passive effect has been reworked.

  • Charges: [10, 20, 30, 50]
  • Passive: Your pledges clear 100% more pledge stacks, but also add 1 Corruption. Costs 1 charge per pledge.

[Holy Pledge] I, II, III, IV

  • Charges: [10, 20, 30, 50]
  • Passive: Your pledge removes 1 Corruption and adds 100% increased Friendship. Costs 1 charge per pledge.

 [Friendship Gem V]

  • Charges: [1, 1, 1, 1, 1]
  • On Pick Up: Immediately adds 100 Friendship to the Dog.

[Greedy Pet] I, II, III, IV

Passive effect has been reworked.

  • Charges: [5, 10, 15, 20]
  • Passive: Your Pets have a [20, 20, 20, 20]% chance to add 1 Corruption and drop a bonus item. Costs 1 charge per item dropped.

Misc Balance

  • Golden Dog now stops spawning Golden Sparks if 3 or more are available (Previously 5).

January Update 2 (v0.9a)

A jaunty BARK from the Dog! 

As we work towards Version 1.0, we are taking a harder look at all of our existing features to make them more engaging. We believe DKTD is more fun with more players, but the game could be doing more to sustain a larger audience.

In this update, we’ve reworked Digging, re-balanced Items drops, tweaked Golden Sparks, re-added scaling to Bonus Pets and Kicks, deleted [Sinister Plan], and added more visual feedback.

 


 Digging Update

  • Individual items are no longer buried. Instead, Chests are buried.
  • Chests contain an assortment of related items (See further below: Item Economy)
  • It is no longer random when a Dig is successful, there is now a set amount of DIGs that need to happen depending on the Chest that is buried. This number is shown on stream as long as the Chest is buried.
  • Dig Sites no longer expire. Once a Chest is buried, it must be dug up before another can spawn.
  • If no Dig Site is active, a new Chest spawns after 10 seconds.
  • [Digging Frenzy] no longer activates all dig sites. Instead, a new site will be instantly activated once the current Chest is dug up.

Game Balance

General Balance

  • The expiration time for dropped items has been changed to 60 seconds (Down from 120 seconds) to help reduce screen clutter.
  • Bonus Pets no longer grant Kick Immunity time. 
  • The number of required Bonus Pet stacks is now uncapped.
  • The number of Kicked stacks is now uncapped.
  • The number of Bonus Pets stacks when the Dog wants pets now scales with the number of online players.
  • The starting number of Kicked stacks when the Dog starts to leave now scales with the number of online players.

Item Economy

  • Chests drop an assortment of related items. For example, the [Sinister Chest] drops items like [Lock Pick] and [Mercenary Contract]. 

Chest Types

  • Basic Chests:
    • Drop an assortment of items that help progress the Dog, or your account.
    • [Small Chest], [Good Chest], [Great Chest], [Epic Chest]
  • Battle Chests:
    • Drop an assortment of items that help defend or attack the Dog, or other Players.
    • [Justice Chest], [Sinister Chest]
  • Bonus Chests:
    • Drop an assortment of items that provide boosts or bonuses to the community.
    • [Frenzy Chest]

Chest Spawning

  • If no Chest is active, a new Chest will spawn after 10 seconds.
    • Basic and Bonus Chests spawn while the Dog is not leaving.
    • Battle Chests can spawn at any time, though are most common while the Dog is leaving.

Golden Sparks

  • Sparks now spawn more frequently over the course of a Golden Dog.
  • Sparks now Expire after 30 seconds.
  • No longer disappear when the Golden Dog ends.
  • Now grant points to all players (Except Fugitives and Prisoners) on pick up.

Items

[Steak] I, II, III, IV

Placed a cap on the number of pets Steak can perform. Reduced charge count across all tiers.

  • Charges: [1, 1, 5, 10]
  • On Use: If the Dog wants pets, performs up to [50, 50, 50, 100] pets, and grants [100, 150, 200, 200]% increased Friendship to the Dog.

[Yummy Treat] I, II, III, IV

Pets added based on the number of active players.

  • On Pick Up: Adds a [small, moderate, large, huge] amount Bonus Pets to the Dog, based on the number of active players.

 [Gold Nugget IV]

  • On Pick Up: Grants you 50 Gold on being dug up

[Hearty Treat] I, II, III, IV

Now grants [1, 5, 15, 50] Gold on pick up, if the Dog has MAX Armor stacks.

[Demonic Pledge] I, II, III, IV

Now costs Gold to use rather than passively affecting the PLEDGE command.

  • Charges: [10, 10, 10, 10]
  • On Use: Costs [5, 10, 25, 25] Gold to use. Adds [5, 15, 40, 50] Corruption.

 

[Holy Pledge] I, II, III, IV

Now costs Gold to use rather than passively affecting the PLEDGE command.

  • Charges: [10, 10, 10, 10]
  • On Use: Costs [5, 10, 25, 25] Gold to use. Removes [5, 15, 40, 50] Corruption.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the Dog Level would be off by 1 when output from the DOG command.
  • Fixed an issue where [Gavel] would not indicate the player that used the item to imprison multiple Fugitives.

January Update (v0.8c)

A heart-filled BARK from the Dog! This update introduces Corruption, a new Realm Modifier that fuels Fugitive Raids. Yummy Treat, Hearty Treat, and Steak have been changed. There are also a handful of new items, all of which require Gold to operate.

 Corruption

Corruption is a buff that is added for performing any evil actions. For example, a single kick will add a stack of Corruption. A successful Jailbreak adds Corruption.

Fugitive Raids need Corruption

Fugitive Raid events will not start counting down unless a certain amount of Corruption is present. Additionally, Raids will consume Corruption stacks once they start. A Raid that is already counting down can also upgrade or downgrade depending on the current number of Corruption stacks.

Demons & Corruption

A successful Jailbreak from a Demon will reduce the start time of the next Fugitive Raid by 10 seconds. 


New Items

 [Demonic Pledge] I, II, III, IV

  • Charges: [10, 10, 10, 10]
  • Passive: Your Pledge now instead gives gold to the Demon King, adding 1 stack of Corruption for every 10 Gold pledged, maximum of [10, 15, 50, 100] stacks. This item loses 1 charge if any Corruption is added from your Pledge. The Dog gains no XP from your pledge.

 [Holy Pledge] I, II, III, IV

  • Charges: [5, 5, 5, 5]
  • Passive: Your Pledge is infused with Holy energy. Every 5 Gold pledged reduces Corruption by 1 stack, maximum of [10, 15, 50, 100] stacks. This item loses 1 charge if any Corruption is removed from your Pledge.

 [Mercenary Contract] I, II, III, IV

  • Charges: [5, 5, 5, 5]
  • On Use: Costs [5, 10, 15, 20] gold to use. Hires [1, 2, 3, 4] Fugitives that work for you, allowing you to steal points if the Dog leaves. Adds 1 stack of Corruption per Fugitive hired.

The following items have had their descriptions updated to reflect their new effects.

[Yummy Treat] I, II, III, IV

  • Charges: [1, 1, 1, 1]
  • On Pick Up: Adds up to [5, 10, 25, 50] required Bonus Pets.

[Hearty Treat] I, II, III, IV

  • Charges: [1, 1, 1, 1]
  • On Pick Up: Adds up to [10, 25, 50, 100] stacks of Armor to the Dog. Each stack of Armor absorbs 1 Kick and reduces Armor stack count by 1.

[Steak] I, II, III, IV

  • Charges: [5, 10, 15, 20]
  • On Use: If the Dog wants pets, performs all remaining pets, and grants [25, 50, 75, 100]% increased Friendship to the Dog.

Game Balance

  • The MAX Dog leave time is no longer affected by Ascendancy, Bone Tier, or Dog Level. The Dog now once again always leaves in 60 seconds. Having this time be variable just seems to be frustrating to everyone- it’s either too high or too low. 
  • Armor is now maxed at 100 stacks.
  • Completing all Bonus Pets no longer awards Kick Immunity.
  • Bonus Pets now each add 5 Seconds of Kick Immunity in addition to Friendship.
  • Bonus Pets now have a chance to drop an item.

Misc Changes

  • COP command will now continue to attempt to Imprison a Fugitive, as long as Fugitives are present, over time.
  • Dog’s total XP is now shown via the dog command.
  • New SFX for when a Fugitive Raid starts.
  • “The Dog is leaving in 60 seconds”. Added back in.
  • Item codes have been added to chat messages that indicate an item is available.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where Fugitive Raid IV was not spawning the intended fugitives.
  • Fixed an issue where Saving Pet’s passive effect would persist even after the item was destroyed.
  • Fixed an issue where Secret Agent’s passive effect would persist even after the item was destroyed.

December Update 2 (v0.8b)

A cheerful BARK from the Dog! This update changes how Loose Fugitives work (Now called Fugitive NPCs), adds a larger,  more powerful Fugitive NPC, adds Emoji to Chat Bot messages, and other smaller changes.

Fugitive NPCs spawn naturally in new events called Fugitive Raids.

    • Passive: The next Player or NPC to KICK the Dog becomes imprisoned and this item loses 1 charge. This effect cannot be triggered more than once within [900, 750, 600, 450] seconds. If this item is not at full charge, it is destroyed on drop.

Quality of Life

Game Balance

  • The minimum dog leave time has been increased to 30 seconds, from 10 seconds.
    • In the world of stream delays, 10 seconds was essentially instant. 

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the item command would trigger if ‘item’ was in any part of your sentence. 
  • Item code font should display properly now (It was being cut off before)
  • Fixed an issue where the feedback for dug up items would change facing with the character it was attached to.
  • Fixed an issue where the incorrect number of Friendship added could be displayed in game after a pet.

Update Notes: December Update 1a

Greetings from the Dog! An update has been pushed live with some bug fixes, and game balance changes.

Game Balance

  • Changed: All items that can be found from DIG have had their drop chances rebalanced so that lower tier (I, II) items have a greater chance of spawning at all Bone Tiers. This also makes high tier (III, IV) items more rare.
  • Changed: Low tier Golden Sparks are now more likely to spawn at low Bones Small through Epic.
  • Changed: Items taken by the Dog grant friendship according to their Tier. (E.g. a tier III item grants 3 friendship)

Items

Many items have had their Max Charges rebalanced. In general, more powerful, or decisive items have decreased charges.

Steak [I, II, III, IV]

  • Charges rebalanced, and Tier IV gets a 1% nerf.
  • Max Charges : Changed to [1,1,1,1]
  • Armor & Immunity Reduction [IV Only] : Changed to [99]%

Sinister Plan [I, II, III, IV]

  • The passive has changed to award a flat point bonus. PET no longer drops the item. Charges rebalanced.
  • Passive: You receive [1000, 5000, 10000, 10000] bonus points whenever the Dog leaves. KICK will cause this item to be dropped.
  • Max Charges: Changed to [10,10,10,20]

Friendly Pet [I, II, III, IV]

  • This item was not changed, the description has just been re-worded a bit.
  • Passive: Perform a Friendly Pet automatically whenever pets are available with a [20,20,20,15] second cooldown. Friendly Pets add Friendship, but grant no points. Friendly Pets are interrupted by Golden Pets. Will not activate while a Fugitive or Imprisoned.

Gavel [I, II, III, IV]

  • Tier IV no longer imprisons 2 fugitives. I’m not even sure that ever worked. Maximum charge count has been reduced.
  • Use Effect: Immediately imprisons a Fugitive. Max Charges: Changed to [5, 10, 20, 30]
  • Max Charges: Changed to [5,10,20,30]

Bug Fixes

  •  
  • Fixed an issue where kicking the Dog while having Armor would erroneously show the kicker counter.
  • Fixed an issue where using many charges of Sinister Plan would cause the bot to flood a bunch of ‘the dog lost armor’ messages.
    • Please be on the look out for any more USE issues.
  • Fixed an issue where Golden Spark V did not show its tier in its name.

Update Notes: December Update 1

Greetings from the Dog! This is a smaller update, but contains some quality of life fixes and a new buff: Armor!

An update has been scheduled for 12/2/18 at around 3pm, PDT, assuming nothing goes horribly wrong.

New Buff: Armor

While the Dog has the Armor buff, kicks will remove stacks of Armor instead of adding kick stacks.

  • 1 stack of Armor = 1 kick stack prevented.
  • Armor can stack up to 1,000.

Armor treats kicks differently than Kick Immunity, in that kicks are absorbed rather than prevented

  • Absorbed means that players will still be marked as a fugitive for kicking, and the kick will count towards their kick total statistic.
  • Prevented means that players will not be marked as a fugitive, nor will the kick count towards their kick total.

Developers Note: Armor is a descendant of Kick Immunity. Rather than being time limited, Armor lasts indefinitely, but there are more ways to counter Armor. Kick Immunity is still applied by things like Bonus Pets.

Game Balance

Kick Immunity from Bonus Pets

  • The Kick Immunity time starts at 30 seconds, and increases by 30 seconds (up to 180) for each Bone Tier earned.
  • Example: At Great Bone, the Kick Immunity received for completing all Bonus Pets is 90 seconds.

Items

Yummy Treat [I, II, III, IV]

  • Changed All Tiers, On Use: Adds [25, 50, 75, 100] Armor to the Dog. 
  • Changed All Tiers, Max Charges: [1, 1, 1, 1] previously [10,20,30,60]
  • Developers Note: Kick Immunity is very powerful, and previously the only counter to Yummy Treat was another item: Steak. With Armor, there is now always a counter (Kick) available, as well as multiple items.

Steak [I, II, III, IV]

  • Changed All Tiers: Reduces Kick Immunity time and Armor stacks by [25, 50, 75, 100]%. 

Saving Pet [I, II, III, IV]

  • Changed All Tiers: Added Effect: Saving Pets add 1 Armor to the Dog.

Friendly Pet [I, II, III, IV]

  • Description Updated, Passive: Perform a Friendly Pet automatically whenever pets are available with a [20,20,20,15] second cooldown. Friendly Pets add Friendship, but grant no points. Friendly Pets are interrupted by Golden Pets. Will not activate while a Fugitive or Imprisoned.

Command Changes

dig

  • Added: If no area is specified (e.g. dig), a random active area will be selected for digging.

item

  • Added: Now optionally accepts a claimable item code (e.g. item abc) or a player name (e.g. item dxraider) to provide information about that item.

use

  • Added: Now optionally accepts a quantity (e.g. use 10) or ‘ALL’ or ‘MAX’ to use up to the specified number of charges all at once. If fewer charges are required than specified, then the command will not use any additional charges.

Misc Improvements

  • The bot now sends a message when a Dig Area has run out of items.
  • Kicking the Dog while it is Immune or Armored now displays a short message + icon over the Dog. (Kick Immune! or Kick Absorbed!)

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a warning that would appear when players login using the DIG command.
  • Fixed an issue where players would appear as Demons when they were not Fugitives.
  • Fixed an issue where COP would target Loose Fugitives that had not yet spawned.
  • Fixed an issue where Demon status was not being properly cleared after the Dog left.
  • Fixed an issue where Loose Fugitives did not give points for being Imprisoned with Gavel.
  • Fixed an error that would occur when players turn into fugitives when logging in with the KICK command.

Full Update Notes

Ascendancy

When the Golden Dog for the highest achievable Bone ends, the following happens:

  • 1 stack of Ascendancy is added to the Dog.
  • The Bone resets to Small Bone I, with 0 points.

The highest Bone achievable will change depending on the number of Ascendancy stacks, as some Bone Tiers require Ascendancy to earn.

Each stack adds the following effects:

  • Increases Dog XP Gain by 100%.
  • The time reduction penalty from Bone Difficulty is increased by 100%.
  • The number of starting Kick stacks on the Dog is increased by 5.
  • All Ascendancy is lost when the Dog leaves.

This means Friendship will remain after Ascendancy, allowing the Dog to go through the early tier bones much faster.

New Bone Tiers

From now on, new Bone Tiers require Ascendancy to earn. Otherwise, the Bone will reset to Small Bone I upon reaching the final bone.

  • Mythical (Tier 9)
    • Requires Ascendancy x1 to earn.
  • Exalted (Tier 10)
    • Requires Ascendancy x2 to earn.

Bone Difficulty

  • Starting at Great Bone I, the time it takes the Dog to leave will be reduced for each Bone earned.
  • The time reduction increases with higher Bone tiers.
  • The time the Dog has to leave can never be reduced below 10 seconds by Bone Difficulty.

Rebalancing

Point Requirement Changes

Amazing, Fantastic, and Incredible Bone are being rebalanced. Overall, the points required to hit Incredible V have been reduced.

Golden Pet Point Value Changes

All Golden Pet point rewards have been rebalanced. Overall, the point reward from Golden Pets is reduced significantly. This is done in light of  new features, Bone Ascendancy, and Golden Sparks which both assist in gaining the points that were previously being awarded from Golden Pets.

Golden Sparks


During the Golden Dog, a new type of item spawns: [Golden Spark].

These items will grant points to those that have used their Golden Pet. The point value increases with the item tier.

Loose Fugitives!

A new random event. Occasionally, reports of Fugitives on the loose will come in. Cop them, or they will kick the poor doggo.

  • Appears after Amazing Bone, becoming slightly more frequent and in greater numbers at higher Ascendancy stacks.
  • Will appear a short time after being reported, slowly walking towards the Dog.
  • Applies a single kick when they reach the Dog.
  • Receive points for capturing the Loose Fugitive.

High Quality Items

Tier II, III, and IV versions of most existing items have been added. This will be indicated by a star icon positioned nearby the item icon. You can also see your item’s tier by using the item command.

In general, high quality items have more charges, but some items also become more powerful

High quality items can be found by reaching higher tier Bones.

New Items

Secret Agent [I, II, III, IV]

  • Passive: The next player to KICK the Dog becomes imprisoned and this item loses 1 charge. This effect cannot be triggered more than once within [900, 750, 600, 450]  seconds. If this item is not at full charge, it is destroyed on drop.

Friendly Pet [I, II, III, IV]

  • Passive: Perform a Friendly Pet automatically whenever possible with a [20, 20, 20, 15] second cooldown. Friendly Pets add Friendship, but grant no points. Friendly Pets do not count as Golden Pets. Will not activate while a Fugitive or Imprisoned.

Saving Pet [I, II, III, IV]

  • Passive: Automatically begin performing Saving Pets when the Dog starts to leave. Your pets are [50%, 75%, 100%, 150%] faster while the Dog is leaving. Costs 1 charge per Saving Pet.

Greedy Pet [I, II, III, IV]

  • Passive: Your Golden Pets turn into Greedy Pets, which grant no Friendship but earn [10%, 20%, 30%, 60%] more points. Greedy Pets consume 1 charge from this item.

Command Changes

 pet

  • Added: Will now slowly complete pets over time until there is no reason to pet. This effect is interrupted by entering other gameplay commands (e.g. KICK, COP…)

 jailbreak

  • Added: Will now slowly continue to attempt a Jailbreak until a successful jailbreak occurs, or if there are no prisoners present. This effect is interrupted by entering other gameplay commands (e.g. KICK, COP…).

 sorry

  • Added: Will now slowly continue to apologize until you are no longer a Fugitive. This effect is interrupted by entering other gameplay commands (e.g. KICK, COP…).
  • Added: A successful SORRY removes all kick stacks you’ve recently added to the Dog.
  • Changed: The SORRY chance for lower level fugitives is much higher.
  • Changed: You can once again SORRY while the Dog is leaving.

Bug Fixes

  • Dog Level now appears correctly in Twitch Chat when the Dog levels up.
  • The amount of pets the Dog requires will now be correct in Twitch Chat when the Dog wants pets.
  • Characters should once again visually dig in the correct spot.
  • Kick now drops Sinister Plan, as intended.
  • Max Level Capes earned for Prestige 2 and above are now their intended colors.
  • Demons should once again appear with the Demon sprite.

Preview: November Update

A hearty BARK from the Dev! The following is a preview of the next update.

The update is still actively being developed at this time, and many details have been left out intentionally as they are still being decided.

This preview introduces Ascendancy, two new Bone tiers, Loose Fugitives, rebalancing of Bones and points, and some changes to PET, JAILBREAK, and SORRY.

Point Requirement Changes

Amazing, Fantastic, and Incredible Bone are being rebalanced. Overall, the points required to hit Incredible V have been reduced.

Golden Pet Point Value Changes

All Golden Pet point rewards have been rebalanced. Overall, the point reward from Golden Pets will be reduced significantly. This is done in light of a new feature, Bone Ascendancy, that provides an avenue to significantly increase point gain.

The new balance shifts the majority of a Golden Pet’s points to the final Bone in a given Tier.

Ascendancy

When the Golden Dog for the highest achievable Bone ends, the following happens:

  • 1 stack of Ascendancy is added to the Dog.
  • The Bone resets to Small Bone I, with 0 points.

The highest Bone achievable will change depending on the number of Ascendancy stacks, as some Bone Tiers require Ascendancy to earn.

Each stack adds the following effects:

  • Increases Dog XP Gain.
  • The time reduction penalty from Bone Difficulty is increased.
  • The number of starting Kick stacks on the Dog is increased.
  • All Ascendancy is lost when the Dog leaves.

New Bone Tiers

Unlike the current Bone Tiers, new tiers require Ascendancy to be able to earn. Otherwise, the Bone will reset to Small Bone I upon reaching the final bone.

  • Mythical (Tier 9)
    • Requires Ascendancy x1 to earn.
  • Exalted (Tier 10)
    • Requires Ascendancy x2 to earn.

Bone Difficulty

  • Starting at Great Bone I, the time it takes the Dog to leave will be reduced for each Bone earned.
  • The time reduction increases with higher Bone tiers.
  • The time the Dog has to leave can never be reduced below 10 seconds by Bone Difficulty.

Here the current table of the time reduction for each Bone Tier:

The time reduction at Incredible Bone V is 105 Seconds. This means the Dog needs to reach Level 105 to have 60 seconds to leave at that Bone.

Features

  Gold

  • Players now acquire Gold over time, just for watching the stream, at a rate of 1 Gold per Minute.
  • Players can check their Gold with points.
  • Gold can also be earned in other ways…

 Dog Levels

  • The Dog now gains Experience and Levels, which persist even when the Dog leaves.
  • Each Dog keeps track of its own Experience and Level.
  • Experience is primarily granted through Friendship and Gold Pledges.
  • When the Dog gains a level, it also gains +1 Second to Maximum Leave Time. This makes it take longer for the Dog to leave.

 Daily Donation Goal

  • Pledging Gold to the Dog using the pledge command will earn you points, up to an amount: the Daily Donation Goal.
  • The donation goal is based on your Prestige level.
  • 1,000 Points are awarded per Gold donated.
  • Reaching the Daily Donation Goal will grant a bonus 25% worth of points!

 Extended Player Levels – Player Prestige

  • Players that reach the MAX Hero Level may use the prestige command to advance their Prestige level by 1.
  • Prestiging costs a sum of Gold based on the Prestige level. Cost increases significantly for higher Prestige levels.
  • Prestiging resets your Lifetime Points to 0.
  • Prestige multiplies the amount of Friendship you add in all cases.
  • Prestige levels each have their own Cape for reaching the MAX Hero Level.
  • Prestige levels each have their own title that is displayed when earned, and in the POINTS command.
  • Players may use the cape command to switch between the capes they earn, including unequipping the cape entirely.
